The following steps can be followed to get rid of the jamming problem in HP Printer:
a.Turn the all-in-one on and off again
This can be done by pressing the power button off and on
b.Clear jammed paper
Remove any loose paper. This can be done by pressing the tab on the left side of the rear door of the printer. The rear door is released from where the paper can be removed. Make sure to close the setting after that.
c.Make sure the carriage moves freely
Disconnect the power cord before attempting this step. Proceed to open the print cartridge door and check for cartridge movement. If an obstruction is found, apply a little pressure and move it to the left. Make sure to close the setting after that.
d.Remove and reinstall the cartridges
Turn on the printer. Open the cartridge door and wait till it is idle. Press down on the cartridge to release it and pull it out of its slot. Check the cartridge for damage and obstructions. Replace it if necessary.
Reinstall the cartridge by sliding it with its logo facing up into an empty slot. Make sure the cartridge is locked in place. Note that the black and color cartridges should be placed in the right and left respectively.
e.Push the all-in-one directly to the wall outlet
Push the power cord directly to the wall outlet. Disconnect and reconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer
f.Perform a hard reset
Keeping the printer on, remove all papers from the tray. Also remove the USB cable, cartridge and power cord. Reconnect the power cord after an interval of 60 seconds. Open the cartridge door and you will find that the cartridge will move to the far right of the printer. Reinstall the cartridge and connect all the cords that were previously disconnected. Load an A4 paper and attempt to print on it.
This should effectively fix the paper jam issue and prevent any further issues from happening.
