Question arises from many people that can be able to make a suction tool at home for ink cartridges, here you can get the appropriate solution for that, which are given below:
Yes you can! Suction tools from manufacturers are generally expensive and many like making their own in order to refill their cartridges. You just need some skill, patience and a local hardware store that you can get supplies from. The thing about a vaccum refilled cartridge is that you need not drill or seal the cartridge after refilling it.
Here's what you will need to build your own suction tool:
· Two clamps- one each for the black and the color cartridge. Most hardware stores will have this. Get a small one.
· 60 ml syringes, 4 in number- These are to refill ink of each color on the cartridge. Sure, you can use the same syringe for all of them too, but you will have to be very sure that you clean the syringes thoroughly.
· Get the refill ink ready too!
· Cannulas for the syringes.
· You will also need the plastic tab that comes on top of a new cartridge, your old refilled cartridge will also have to be vented.
· Get a small metal plate and some seal glue and a glue gun.
· A drill bit, earth magnet and two metal supports.
Here's how you do it:
· Drill a hole in the clamp that is exactly the size of the cannula. Use a felt pen or marker to mark the size. Drill a hole through the center of the orange cap as well.
· Put the cannula into the hole on the clamp and the orange cap. Mark the point where it comes out.
· Take out the cannula and shorten it slightly at the marked point so that the cannula is in line with the orange cap when pulled from the clamp.
· Glue the cannula and the orange cap together. Do not seal the opening on the cannula.
· Wait for the glue to set and place an empty cartridge in the orange cap region of the clamp. Keep the metal plate and rubber under the cartridge and clamp it. Make sure that the vent on the cartridge is sealed.
· Take in the required amount of ink in the syringe and place the syringe in the canula without injecting the ink into the cartridge.
· Pull the plunger up forcefully so that a vaccum is created in the cartridge and the ink gets sucked in to the system.
· If the reaction to pulling the plunger out is not quite what you expected, it means you have not glued the system properly.
· The ink outlet on the black cartridge is larger, you will need a clamp that has a bigger orange cap.
· The magnet is just to hold the system in place.
