Both the printers are Inkjet printers employing ink cased cartridge
system to print documents. Being multifunction printers, functions
such as print, fax, copy, and scan is performed by the both of them.
Both Deskjet printers are ink cartridge powered. This would mean that
their operating cost is more or less the same. Deskjet 3637 however,
brings instant ink on the table. With instant ink program, the
purchase cost of ink is reduced up to 50%. You never run out of ink
when you’re signed up for instant ink. Cost saving from Deskjet
2549’s perspective is by cutting power consumption. Energy Star
qualification helps in this task. Presence of duplex printing,
although it is not automatic is a very welcome addition. Deskjet 3637
dishes out seven-segment LCD making the handling experience a breeze.
Although heavier over its counterpart by over 5 pounds, the ability
to print borderless pictures sets it apart. Deskjet 2549 on the other
hand, is equipped with an 800Mhz processor making the operating
experience as smooth as it can get.
Both devices are impressive pieces of machinery. Deskjet 3637 and
2549, available in black and white respectively. Although in the same
price range, there are very noticeable differences and advantages,
with a mixed verdict, the best is up to your preference.
