ePrint is a cloud-based service that allows you to print from anywhere with an active internet connection. Email the photo or document that you need to print directly to the printer.

Steps for ePrinting

  • Locate the Power button on the printer and turn it on.
  • Place plain paper in the input tray.
  • Touch the HP ePrint button and press Setup to turn on web services in the touchscreen displays.
  • Find the email address that displays.
  • Create a new email with the personal account.
  • Type the email address in the To filed.
  • Type a subject in the subject line.
  • Attach the document or photo and choose Send.

Elaborate steps for ePrinting

  • Load paper in the input tray and ensure that the toner or the ink cartridges are installed.
  • On the printer, tap the HP ePrint icon or button. Then touch Setup and turn on web services in case of touchscreen displays.
  • Navigate to Network Setup, Web Services Setup or Wireless Settings to turn on web services in case of text-based displays.
  • If web services are already enabled, press Print Info or Print. The printer's email address displays on the control panel and an info page also prints with the printer’s email address.
  • Find the ePrint email address that displays. If the printer’s email address does not display, wait for few hours and try printing the info page again.
  • For printers without a touchscreen or text based display, connect the printer to the web and then get the printer email address.
  • Then, to print a photo or document saved on your computer or chromebook, create a new email with the personal email account. And, type the printer’s email address in the To field.
  • Type a subject in the email subject lane. Then, attach the document or photo to the email and select Send.
  • To print an email, open the email that you need to print and then choose Forward. Enter the printer email address in the To field and then select Send.
  • To print a webpage, open the webpage that you need to print and tap the Ctrl or Command key & the A key to choose the page content. Then tap the Ctrl or Command key and the C key to copy it.
  • Open a new blank document, press the Command or Ctrl key & the V key to paste the content into the document. Then, save the document to the computer.
  • Attach the document to the email message to the printer and then choose Send.
  • To print a document or photo saved on the smartphone or tablet, open the document or photo that you need to print. Press the Action or Share icon. Choose the email option to open the new email message. Then, type your printer’s email address in the To field.
  • Type the subject in the email subject line and press Send. To print an email, open the email that you want to print and then press Forward.
  • Type the printer’s mail address in the To field and then press Send. To print a webpage, open the webpage that you need to print and press and hold the screen to choose all and copy the content.
  • Open a new blank document, press and hold the screen to paste the content into the document, and save the document to the device.
  • Attach the document to the email message addressed to the printer and press Send.

  • If the cartridge is not clean, first open the ink cartridge access door. Remove the ink cartridge and place it on a piece of paper.
  • Dip a clean rubber swab or cloth into the distilled water. Squeeze excess of water from it and clean only the copper-colored contacts.
  • Wait for about ten minutes to dry the electrical contacts of the ink cartridge. Reinstall the ink cartridge and close the ink cartridge access door.

I cannot get my printer to work

The printer does not work because of the errors that occur in the printer. So check if the ink cartridges are compatible. Also, you can reset the printer. Check if the ink cartridges are clean or not. Else, clean it by using a lint-free cloth.

  • Locate the Power button on the printer and press it.
  • Make sure that the latch is down.
  • Clean the contacts of the ink cartridge by using a clean, lint-free cloth.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges again.
  • Ensure that the newly installed ink cartridges are compatible.
  • Reset the printer by disconnecting the power cord from the rear of the printer with the printer switched on.
  • Take the power cord from the rear of the printer and wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cord back to the wall outlet and reconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Detailed steps for printer troubleshooting

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are compatible. Also, ensure that the latch is down by placing the fingers into the slot on the left side of the printer.

  • Ensure that the colored dot on the ink cartridge label matches the colored dot on the carriage slot. Push in the front of the ink cartridge to release and pull it towards you to remove from the slot.
  • Inspect the ink cartridge for damage and the copper-colored ink cartridge contacts for debris or ink buildup.
  • Carefully insert the cartridge into the slot & push the ink cartridge forward till it clicks into place.
  • Ensure that the carriage latch is down. And, if the carriage latch is up, press it down till it clicks & close the cartridge access door.
  • Also, clean the cartridge contacts by using a clean, lint-free cloth. Keep the fingers into the slot on the left side of the printer. Wait till the carriage is idle and silent.
  • Push in the front of the ink cartridge to release and pull the ink cartridge toward you to remove it from the slot.
  • With the cloth, wipe the copper-colored contact on the ink cartridge.
  • Carefully reinsert the ink cartridge into the slot. And, close the access door.

  • Connect to the Brother support site and download the updated Full Driver &Software package for your Brother MFC-L2700DW printer. Uninstall the previously installed outdated driver software and install the latest version on your computer.
